The mission of the Bethlehem House, Inc. is to provide 24-hour shelter and support with an individualized, comprehensive program to young pregnant women in need. This will include adhering to a standard of excellence and promoting abstinence in their lives.

Bethlehem House, Inc. is committed to and supportive of women who have chosen to honor life by giving birth to their child. We will provide every means possible to support them in their decision through physical, emotional and spiritual care and counseling.

Established in 1992, Bethlehem House is a faith-based, family-oriented home for unwed pregnant girls that need a home. We provide a structured living environment for up to five girls and their new babies, regardless of whether they chose to keep their baby or place it for adoption. We accept girls ages ten years through twenty-one at any stage of their pregnancy.

We work in conjuction with existing community agencies to provide for every area of need, including physical, spiritual, social and psychological. We create a plan for each resident that involves three phases:

1) Regrouping - This phase helps the resident deal with the reality of the current situation and begin to recognize the     help available.
2) Refocusing - The second phase involves the resident actually mapping a plan and setting goals for getting her life     on a positive track.
3) Redirecting - The final phase requires that an action plan is put in place before the resident leaves our program to     help goals be realized and success achieved. The staff work hand-in-hand beside the resident helping her to work     through each of these phases.

At Bethlehem House we always focus on the fact that our residents are real people. The atmosphere of the house is as close to a family unit as possible with the house parents striving to provide a stable, loving atmosphere where each girl will be given the attention needed. We are committed to showing God's love to each girl and developing a feeling of worth in them.
